This is as close as I want to get to winter. I was inspired by a photo I saw which reminded me of scenes from my youth in Wisconsin. For this painting however, I wanted to go further back in time, adding the covered bridge and the horse drawn wagon making a delivery to the mill at dusk. The saturate cool colors give the feeling of cold, and provide a nice background to the warm red mill.
